Meera and Hayden, college sweethearts, got to have the best of both world’s at their marriage. First, the couple celebrated a traditional Hindu ceremony before changing into a classic “James Bond” inspired reception. We love seeing two cultures come together to make one big celebration and this couple blew us away with their Multicultural Bond-Themed Marriage. The day was captured by Julia Kinnunen Photography and both Meera and Hayden got to wear two wedding day outfits. I can’t decide which one I like more, Meera’s deep red dress for the ceremony or her sparkly mermaid gown for the reception. And Hayden looked pretty dapper himself in his sharp black tux and bow tie!
How did you two meet?
We met in college
How did he/she propose?
In front of our friends and family at his house right before we moved to Spain!
What were your wedding colors & theme?
Lavender, fuschia, maroon, light pink, white.
Tell us about your wedding style.
Our style was a mix of classy and casual. We incorporated a few chalkboard signs and had a lot of flowers.
Do you have any advice to other couples planning their day?
Take it slow, give yourself plenty of time so planning 6-9 months ahead is best. You don’t want to feel rushed with anything.
What was your vision for your wedding day?
Bright colors, lots of flowers and an intimate ceremony.
What was your favorite part of the planning process?
Getting all of the outfits.
What was your favorite moment of the day?
Lighting lanterns and doing our final send off with everyone.
