Tiffany and Vasilis, a couple who are both originally from Greece, were married on a brisk January day in New Jersey. Their Gorgeous Greek wedding was a nonstop day filled with love, lots of emotion and a ton of dancing and shots. The couple was able to bring their Greek culture into a variety of details in the wedding.
Tiffany wore a huge dropped waist taffeta ballgown with gorgeous horse-hair trim, while her maids stunned in deep burgundy floor length gowns. The maid of honor was able to have her own dress design, that subtly stood out from the rest in the most perfect way. Another very special detail of the day was that Tiffany was able to honor her late Father by including a picture of him on her bouquet. Their reception was held at Lambert Castle and it looked like quite the party: with dancing, drinks, and even an ice sculpture, everyone was on their feet and having a blast!
How did you two meet?
We are both from the same island in Greece and we met there one summer while on vacation with our families. We had an amazing summer together and decided to start dating, even though we would be dating long distance between Florida and New Jersey.
How did he/she propose?
He proposed on one of our summer vacations in Greece. He brought me up to one of our favorite spots, on top of a mountain with beautiful views, and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!
Tell us about your wedding style. (Bride, Groom, and Bridal Party)
As our wedding was a winter evening affair, I was looking for a classy, elegant wedding style.
What were your wedding colors & theme?
My color scheme was burgundy, champagne, and gold.
What was your vision for your wedding day?
I envisioned a traditional, romantic, and elegant wedding. I also wanted to make sure our guests had a fantastic time!
What was your favorite part of the planning process?
I am a huge planner so I loved the planning process! Especially as our big day became closer and closer! My favorite part was shopping for my wedding dress and when I found the one!
What was your favorite moment of the day?
I loved the entire day! But if I had to pick one moment I would say the ceremony. We got married in a beautiful Greek church. The Greek ceremony is beautiful and meaningful; I love and all the traditions it entails.
How did you go about finding & hiring your wedding vendors?
I spent a lot of time researching vendors online and reading reviews.
Do you have any advice to other couples planning their day?
Enjoy every minute of the planning process!
Where did you go for your honeymoon? Would you recommend it to others?
We went to Maldives. It was hands down the most relaxing and romantic vacation we have ever gone on. I would highly recommend it to others!
