This is a styled session based around a glam Halloween / Samhain themed wedding — “Till Death Do We Part.” Samhain (pronounced SOW-in) is one of the harvest festivals in the Celtic tradition. It is considered the day that the veil between the worlds is thinnest, and is the “day between the years” since they consider October 30th the last day of the year and November 1st the first day of the new year. This is the time that communicating with ancestors and departed loved ones is supposed to be easiest. People often set extra place settings at the table to honor the deceased as well. Having a Samhain wedding is one way to allow those you love who are no longer with you to be a part of your wedding celebration.
