Stylish New Orleans Destination Wedding

Matt and Alex are a young chic couple currently living in Chicago. When the plans for their wedding began, they both knew that they wanted to have a destination wedding. Lucky for them, Alex’s hometown was the perfect choice, and today we are sharing with you their Stylish New Orleans Destination Wedding.

When Matt and Alex were asked about their visions for the perfect day, Alex came up with the ultimate “recipe” of sorts, “the three key ingredients to a successful reception: good food, good music, and of course happy people!” Their New Orleans destination wedding fit the bill perfectly and had just the right blend of Midwest and Southern in order to showcase their extensive travel history, while still reflecting their love for one another. Every detail, from the gorgeous bridesmaid robes to the peaks of gold and anemones, made for a stunning wedding and kept to their “Laissez les bon temps rouler” (Let the good time’s roll) theme.

In the beginning, the bride and groom originally had planned to not have a wedding cake, instead just serving bananas foster. But after being convinced by their families, they let Swiss Confectionery take complete control and the result was absolutely stunning. The intricate lace patterned frosting plus the gorgeous vintage gold cake stand had us begging to try a slice! We had so much fun looking at this wedding, it even inspired us to try jumping on our beds again (trust me, it is just as fun as the bridal party makes it look!) and we hope you enjoy it too!
