We are loving this fun and super sexy Arizona desert engagement session with Courtney & Reg. They often take romantic joyrides to take in the stunning desert scenery in Reg’s dads classic Buick Skylark, so when they were thinking about their engagement shoot, they just knew including the car would be a perfect fit! These two make up the perfect combination of classic meets sexy and we can’t get enough of Courtney’s super cute jumper and her flirty cocktail dress. Reg is one lucky guy if you ask us!

How did you two meet?
Reg and I met while we were attending Roanoke College in Salem Virginia. We shared the same group of core best friends, but we were both too timid to let the other know how smitten we were with one another. Finally, the beginning of our junior year we moved into the same apartment complex, and one night, after admiring each other for 2 years, Reg offered to walk me home from his fraternity party. We talked and laughed for hours that night. After that, we were completely inseparable.
How did he propose?
Reg and I were already living together and sharing a precious little boy prior to his proposal. So, it’s safe to say I knew the question was coming. I just wanted to layout a few ground rules; I did not want to be proposed to on my birthday or Valentines Day. After our conversation Reg could tell I was primping a little extra before each date, so to surprise me he decided to do it on the day I specifically told him not to- Valentines Day. It worked! I was not expecting the proposal at all that day. In fact, I was a little upset with him because while we were at a nice dinner at the Ritz Carlton’s Bistro 24 a man proposed to his girlfriend and everyone clapped and celebrated, except for Reg. He was grumpy about it and in my head I was thinking “What is wrong with him?! He should be happy for this nice couple!”. What I didn’t know was this guy stole his thunder! He was going to propose only moments later and even had someone lined up to take our photo. After dinner I was ready to go home when Reg insisted on going to The Biltmore hotel for drinks. We drank champagne and danced to the live band. The band ended up playing the song Wagon Wheel, which mentions Roanoke Virginia where we met. Reg then pulled me away and popped the question! I couldn’t believe what was happening! It was such a fun night and I love that there were bumps along the way because that’s what being married is all about- riding the waves but still not giving up on each other.
Tell us about the RING!
My gorgeous ring once belonged to Reg’s mother. The Lane family had three boys and passed down a ring to each son. I love this tradition and plan to do the same for our son in the future.
Have you set a wedding date? Location?
Our date is April 16th 2016 and we are getting married at the Phoenix Country Club.
Can you tell us a little bit about your wedding plans so far?
Our ceremony will be on the golf course of the Phoenix Country Club. This location is special because Reg grew up on this course in his family home and played golf there regularly. The reception will be directly across from the course in Reg’s childhood home’s backyard. Our style is very gardenesque with lots of roses and greenery. I don’t want to reveal too much in case our guests read this. 😉
