Corinne & Benton met while both were working at an advertising agency in Oklahoma City & began dating soon after. When Benton decided to move to Dallas, it wasn’t long before Corrine was on her way to Dallas as well. Benton surprised Corrine with a romantic proposal the weekend prior to a getaway to Chicago. Corrine suspected he might propose while they were away, so in order to keep it a surprise, Benton decided to propose the weekend before. He took her to their favorite spot in Dallas, Lee Park & got down on one knee. Afterwards, they celebrated with all of their family & friends from Oklahoma City, which Benton also arranged. It was surely a night to remember!
When Corrine & Benton began planning their wedding, she knew that she wanted it to be something unique and nothing that had ever been done before, it was important that it was a representation of both of their personal styles as well. They chose Hickory Street Annex to host their special day. This striking venue has a rustic & industrial feel to it with exposed brick walls, large windows with views of downtown and our favorite feature a mosaic wall of glistening glass which is positively ideal for capturing bridal shots.
Corinne looked flawless with her upswept locks fastened with a jeweled hairpiece & streaming veil. We especially loved her stunning lace dress with buttons cascading down her back paired with beautiful Badgley Mischka heels which gave her both grace & elegance on her wedding day. Benton was a fearless groom sporting a modern day mans bow tie & matching pocket square looking ever so debonair. Corinne’s bridesmaids wore floor length strapless dresses in our favorite color navy, while Benton’s crew wore dashing grey suits and of course coordinating navy ties & bow ties. The main focus was on the gorgeous florals (and the happy couple), they truly made everything pop! Each bouquet included marsala colored dahlias, eucalyptus leaves and bright anemones with Corinne’s bouquet donning a gorgeous pink protea. The reception hall was illuminated with strung lights and hanging foliage trimmed hoops & the naked wedding cake was decorated with tiny colorful buds.
Last but surely not least Corinne & Benton completed their special day with a sparkler exit & a smooth getaway in a vintage car.
Here’s to your Happily Ever After.

How did you two meet?
Ben and I met working at an advertising agency in Oklahoma City. We started dating shortly after he had moved to Dallas and soon enough I was making the trek down I-35 myself.
How did he propose?
Ben proposed the weekend before a weekend getaway to Chicago where I was positive he would pop the question. He arranged for my mom and sister to come in to town and had told my mom he’d be asking in Chicago as well when he asked her permission. To all of our surprise, he took me to our favorite spot in Dallas, Lee Park, and got down on one knee. He had organized all of our family and friends, all the way from OKC to meet a local wine bar to celebrate afterwards.
Tell us about your wedding style.
I wanted the wedding to be unique – nothing anyone had seen over and over. I wanted it to be classic, but something new and privy to my personal taste.
What was your vision for your wedding day?
I wanted our day to be a celebration, a party. I wasn’t as interested in the pomp and circumstance of traditional weddings as I was with wanting everyone to genuinely enjoy the celebration.
What was your favorite moment of the day?
I wanted our day to be a celebration, a party. I wasn’t as interested in the pomp and circumstance of traditional weddings as I was with wanting everyone to genuinely enjoy the celebration.
What was your favorite part of the planning process?
My favorite part of the planning was just the excitement of the process. Its something you dream of for so long and every choice and every meeting is an exciting one. It was a fun time.
Do you have any advice for other couples planning their day?
My favorite part of the planning was just the excitement of the process. Its something you dream of for so long and every choice and every meeting is an exciting one. It was a fun time.
How did you go about finding & hiring your wedding vendors?
I asked around with friends who were recently married and browsed local blogs and publications. I really looked for people that had personalities I wanted to be around.
