Heather & George - A Modern Florida Wedding

I’m so excited to share this first part of a two-part blog showcasing the love and marriages {you read that right, plural weddings} between Heather and George . Heather is from North Carolina and George is from Cyprus, and they reside in Florida. Because of the distance between the two families, having a wedding in a central location wasn’t a feasible option. Instead the couple opted to have two weddings, in Florida and Cyprus, so each family could be included. Here is a peak of their elegant wedding day in Florida.

How They Met

The young man starts his residency, and the young lady is doing her internship in the residency education office. They meet and the young man is captivated by the young lady’s smile. A relentless pursuit ensues and the young lady agrees, first dinner…

We have been together since then, shared together success, failure, long weekend calls, midnight phone calls, trips, places, favorite meals, loss of loved ones, arrival of others!!! Through all these experiences we grew together wiser, stronger, and most importantly, closer together.

Her Vision

My vision for the American wedding was more of a modern style, particularly for the reception. We also wanted it to be very small. Eggplant was the main color, since this is one of my favorite colors, accented with green and white. The reception was held in a museum, which definitely gave more of a modern feel. We used a lot of black and white for the tables, along with the eggplant and green accent colors.

Best Moment

This is a tough one. I don’t think there was one particular moment from the American wedding that stands out because everything was GREAT! The same goes for the Cyprus wedding. I love dancing, so maybe that was the best part of the American wedding.
