Today, we are so excited to share an extra special engagement session of a couple that is dear to our TWC hearts. This sweet bride-to-be is the daughter of one of our long time & very first clients, Susan, Owner of A Fantasy in Flowers. We’ve been helping to plan Katie’s wedding alongside her Mom and it has been so much fun to be part of their day. I can’t wait to see how it all comes together in April! Katie & Mark first met in Cape Cod while both there teaching tennis. After enduring a long distance relationship for a few years, they finally decided to make their first leap in love and Katie moved from St. Augustine, Florida to Mark’s hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico. In July Mark decided to take Katie to the tennis courts where he grew up playing, much to Katie’s surprise, during a water break, Mark popped the question and asked Katie to marry him! She was an excited sweaty mess, Katie says. Of course, she said YES!
They both adore their two puppies and their fun fall engagement shoot wouldn’t have been complete without them!

Tell us about the ring!
I love my ring! The stone was my Grandma’s and it’s absolutely perfect. It came from Europe and is actually one of two earrings, my Cousin Lisa has the other one. We went to a local Albuquerque Jeweler, Shelton Jewelers where we had the stone set in a solitaire setting (my dream ring).
Have you set a wedding date & location?
April 2, 2016. The Ponte Vedra Inn & Club, Ponte Vedra Florida.
Can you tell us a little bit about your wedding plans so far?
We are so excited for our Wedding! I grew up in Florida and always dreamed of getting married on the beach. Mark is from New Mexico but was kind enough to let me have my dream beach wedding. My parents are planning most of the wedding for us since we are out of state. The theme is very costal with seafood and overall beach décor. Our venue is outdoors and overlooks the Atlantic Ocean, the ceremony will be outside as well. We are a couple who like to have fun, and we are incorporating a lot of that into every aspect of the wedding. I don’t want to give away to many details for my friends and family but we plan on having a heck of a good time!
