When Thomas and I were dating he used to take me to this beach out near Ponte Vedra. It was here where we took long walks and talked about our future together. Back then it seemed like a big day dream since technically he lived in Germany and I was living in Florida. Then one day while he was visiting me, we strolled along this patch of ocean and he asked me to move to Munich with him so we could start building on all of the dreams we’d so often discussed. When Thomas and I were married, we traveled back to Florida where we fell in love to say our vows with our family and friends, then we took special photos on this very beach. I remember walking towards him in my wedding dress being more emotional in that moment, just the two of us, at our place, than I was on the actual wedding day. It felt that our story had come full circle then, but knowing what I know now, actually it was still just very much the beginning.
So it only seemed fitting that we would now bring our son as he was turning one to the place where our love story began. Back then we only dreamed of someday having a family and now here we are, we did it. Our biggest dream was to share our hearts with a tiny human we could call our own and now he’s turning into a toddler with his very own wants and wishes. We couldn’t have asked for more when God blessed us with Oliver, with each other.
Once again, Our dear friends Liz & Jon of J’adore Studios captured all of these moments for our family so beautifully. We couldn’t be more thankful for their friendship to us over the years. Liz photographed our wedding back in 2013 and we immediately became the best of friends. Soon after, she met and married the love of her life, Jon, and we loved him just as much as her. Him & Thomas actually have their own bromance going on, but more on that another day. 😉
Thanks again for helping us capture our memories so that we can cherish this special moment for a lifetime.
